Dear all,
Please find attached the second newsletter of the CESSDA Metadata Office. The CESSDA MDO project is the primary point of contact for CESSDA members regarding metadata developments, issues and solutions. Since the MDO is not only interested in the metadata developments inside CESSDA, but is also curious about wider metadata developments, we are reaching out to you. We want to get in touch with other projects, initiatives, consortia, institutions/archives outside CESSDA etc. that are concerned with metadata on (research) data (especially for the social sciences).
Please find attached to this email a document that contains more information on the MDO project in general, as well as the previous and current work and services the MDO covered in the CESSDA context so far. We would not only like to provide you with some information, but are also interested in starting a knowledge exchange or cooperation on metadata  developments, issues and solutions with your institution/archive/project/initiative. Also, we are looking forward to receiving input and suggestions as well as general feedback regarding all metadata topics in general and on all MDO releases in particular. We aim to produce and assist the production of quality metadata for the social sciences. Furthermore, MDO is also interested in learning of metadata developments, issues and solutions of aspirant CESSDA archives.
