[ICPSR] Wave 2 Restricted-use Files Just Released for Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study

The National Addiction & HIV Data Archive Program (NAHDAP) has just
released the Wave 2 questionnaire data from the Population Assessment of
Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study. These Wave 2 restricted-use files (RUF)
will also be accessed via the ICPSR Virtual Data Enclave.

The PATH Study is a collaboration between the National Institute on Drug
Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Center for
Tobacco Products (CTP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It was launched
in 2011 to inform FDA's regulatory activities under the Family Smoking
Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. The PATH Stud is an ongoing
longitudinal cohort study on tobacco use behavior, attitudes and beliefs,
and tobacco-related health outcomes. Data in the first wave were collected
from September 2013 to December 2014 and in the second wave from October
2014 to October 2015. Data collection is funded through 2024.

The current release (ICPSR 36231) only contains the restricted-use versions
of the Wave 1 and Wave 2 questionnaire data files. A public-use file (PUF)
for Wave 1 is available in a separate data collection (ICPSR 36498). A Wave
2 PUF will be made available later in 2017.
