[ICPSR] ICPSR awarded new project to support disability and rehabilitation research

ICPSR is pleased to announce a new project in collaboration with the Center
for Large Data Research and Data Sharing in Rehabilitation (CLDR)
<http://rehabsciences.utmb.edu/cldr/> at the University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston to build a data archive that will support disability
and rehabilitation research.



The scientific communities conducting disability and rehabilitation
research generally lack the infrastructure to support data sharing. With
input from CLDR, this new project will leverage ICPSR’s expertise in
building data repository infrastructure to solve this problem. ICPSR will
develop and launch a website to access the disability and rehabilitation
data. The Archive of Data on Disability to Enable Policy and research
(ADDEP) <https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/content/ADDEP/> will bring
together existing disability data resources already available at ICPSR with
newly acquired data from rehabilitation medicine and related areas. The
project will also develop webinars, workshops, presentations, and other
training tailored to fit the needs of the disability and rehabilitation
research communities to strengthen and support the data-sharing
infrastructure.
