I am new to this mailing list and would like to provide a brief
introduction. My name is Ken Shultz and I am a professor of psychology at
California State University, San Bernardino. I am currently on sabbatical
and serving as a post-doctoral fellow at the Andrus Gerontology Center at
the University of Southern California. I am trained as an
Industrial/Organizational (I/O) psychologist and I am working with a
sociologist/demographer (Dr. Eileen Crimmins) studying a variety of older
worker, and transition to retirement, issues.

We recently acquired Eurobarometer 44.2, "Working Conditions in the European
Union, November 1995-January 1996" from ICPSR (version #6722). We would be
very interested in hearing from others who have worked with the data set and
receiving any reprints of manuscripts (published, presented or unpublished)
that have resulted from work with this data set. Our major research
interests lie in examining age related differences in the experience of, and
subsequent adjustments (physical, psychological and behavioral) to, a
variety of working conditions.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. We look forward to hearing from
others working with Eurobarometer 44.2.
