discourse analysis, data visualisation, social network analysis, bayesian 
estimation, maximum likelihood estimation,  categorisation, interviewing, 
scaling, structural equation models, SPSS, rational choice, panel 
surveys, ecological analysis, social theory, participant observation, 
conflict management and international relations. 

A small number of ESRC bursaries are available to participants from 
British academic institutions.
