[DDI-users] DDI Controlled Vocabulary for General Data Format

Hi all,

I am trying to assign a General Data Format code <https://ddialliance.org/Specification/DDI-CV/GeneralDataFormat_2.0.html> to a real estate dataset. It is a tabular dataset with both numeric (e.g. sale amount, mortgage interest rate) and string (mailing address, owner name) variables.

This dataset doesn’t exactly match the definition for numeric data, but I think that this code is the closest match.

Have any of you worked with datasets that aren’t strictly numeric? How did you approach classifying its general data format?
