Subject: UNECE Statistical Division: temporary job opening 1+1 year to work on statistical modernization

To: participants in activities of the HLG-MOS

Dear colleagues,

I would like to turn your attention to the our vacancy announcement<https://careers.un.org/lbw/jobdetail.aspx?id=114149&Lang=en-US> for a temporary job opening in the UNECE Statistical Division for 1+1 year to work in the Statistical Management and Modernization Unit. Our Unit is servicing the High-level Group for the Modernization of Official Statistics (HLG-MOS) and its numerous projects and task teams. Those teams have developed and are maintaining a number of models that have become a de facto international standard (GSBPM, GSIM, GAMSO, etc.). While the vacancy announcement is very generic, you can find out more about the real work in this area through the wiki http://www1.unece.org/stat/platform/display/hlgbas.

Working in UNECE will give an opportunity to one of your experts to have international experience and to contribute directly to this work. And it will give us an opportunity to benefit from the country experience.

Interested persons should apply through the UN online applications system at: https://careers.un.org/lbw/jobdetail.aspx?id=114149&Lang=en-US. The deadline is 9 April.

Please forward this message to colleagues who may be interested.

Kind regards,

Taeke
