I signed up for the CLOSER workshop in London in September. Unfortunately I got only a place on the waiting list. I was wondering if you could say anything about the chances of me getting a spot? The workshop is very interesting and has valuable information for our metadata office project.

CLOSER (closer.ac.uk) are organising a two day workshop and training focused on metadata management using DDI-Lifecycle in London on 12-13 September.

The first day will be a training session presented by Hayley Mills and Jon Johnson from CLOSER on using DDI and more specifically on DDI-Lifecycle for management of longitudinal studies.
The second data will focus on the challenges of implementation, skills and resources. There will be a guest speaker from the highly successful ELIXIR project (https://elixir-europe.org/) which has interoperability of metadata at its core..
It will also be an opportunity to raise and discuss your issues and to network.
