Announcing OAI-PMH Server Kuha

In order to publish its metadata, the Finnish Social Science Data Archive (FSD) developed an OAI-PMH server named "Kuha". The server software was open sourced and its source code is now available at https://github.com/Tietoarkisto/kuha under the BSD3 license.

Kuha may be a good starting point for organizations planning to publish their metadata via OAI-PMH but not already using a digital repository software with OAI-PMH support. Kuha includes a loader for DDI Codebook XML files and a crosswalk from DDI to unqualified Dublin Core. Custom modules for loading and converting metadata in other formats can be written in Python.

 * For more information, please email me: arttu.yla-outinen at staff.uta.fi
 * Descriptions of data archived at FSD in Dublin Core: http://services.fsd.uta.fi/oai (service is implemented using Kuha)

Best regards,
Arttu Ylä-Outinen
