Job opportunity: Colectica is hiring a Developer with Longitudinal Data 
focus

Colectica is seeking to appoint a Developer with Longitudinal Data 
experience to our Statistical Data product group. The group creates 
commercial data documentation and data management software which is 
based on the DDI standard. This is a full time, fixed term post funded 
by a grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute 
on Aging. A permanent position is available based on performance.

The successful applicant will be part of a small team of developers and 
will be responsible for the design and implementation of longitudinal 
metadata preparation tools and web based data extraction tools.

What you'll be doing:

- Develop best practices for longitudinal data storage and metadata 
documentation.
- Work with customers to identify potential automation for legacy 
metadata import from numerous sources.
- Develop software in a hands-on capacity.
- Guide and implement technical architecture, development and roll-out 
for related applications.
- Perform code review sessions w/ other developers and suggest alternate 
strategies when appropriate.
- Document technical designs and specs.

Beneficial skills for this position:

- professional programming experience developing scalable, 
high-performance, 3- and 4-tier applications using C# and other .NET 
technologies.
- Experience with longitudinal data
- Extensive understanding of SOA, security, enterprise integration, and 
distributed computing concepts.
- Ability to analyze systems and to architect solutions with clear designs.
- Experience in building use cases and test cases.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills with 
ability to lead team meetings, gather requirements, and arrive at 
technical decisions.
