[DDI-users] CATI - type surveys and the DDI

Hello,

a quick note on the ISSP DataWizard Wendy mentioned. The project is
still alive - after a longer break, we are in a closed beta test now -
but the DataWizard is not specifically designed to be a questionnaire
development tool. Rather, it is a data harmonization tool, intended
for post-processing data produced by surveys in e.g. different
languages.

You can actually define variable structures from scratch with the tool
and thus produce a basic DDI file, but there is for example nothing
specific that would let you describe filter relationships between
variables.

Regards,

Markus Quandt (who's currently responsible for the DataWizard at ZA,
and has been reading the DDI-users list silently until now...)
