<p style="line-height:1.5;padding-right:15px">Registration for the <a href="https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/content/sumprog/registration.html" target="_blank">2020 Summer Program</a> is open. The four-week courses run June 22-July 17 and July 20-August 14. And, numerous three- to five-day workshops beginning in May are also in the mix! <a href="https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/content/sumprog/scholarships/index.html" target="_blank">Scholarship applications</a> are due March 31.</p>

<p style="line-height:1.5;padding-right:15px">This five-day workshop starting August 10 and delivered by ICPSR Official Representatives (ORs), is being offered to individuals who manage or support local services for ICPSR and other research data for quantitative analysis. This workshop, titled, “Providing Social Science Data Services: Strategies for Design and Operation,” is organized around four <a href="https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/courses/0041" target="_blank">data service</a> areas: collections; users; access; and preservation.</p>

<p style="line-height:1.5;padding-right:15px">The American Educational Research Association (AERA) and ICPSR have joined forces to create a research data hub to connect, educate, and build a community around STEM education data resources. The new <a href="https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/about/cms/2237" target="_blank">Data Resource Hub – PEERS</a> - is a web-based platform that will include wide-ranging forms of data and data resources and foster new networks of research collaboration and communication in STEM education.

New members include: Dave Armstrong, Western University; James Doiron, University of Alberta; Kristin Eschenfelder, University of Wisconsin-Madison; Mark Hansen, Columbia University; Trevon Logan, Ohio State University; and Ken Smith, University of Utah. In addition, Lisa Cook, Michigan State University, will take the gavel as Council Chair.</p>

<p style="line-height:1.5;padding-right:15px">ICPSR holds over <a href="https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/ICPSR/search/studies?start=0&ARCHIVE=ICPSR&PUBLISH_STATUS=PUBLISHED&RESTRICTED_DATA_TYPE=Restricted%20Use&sort=score%20desc%2CTITLE_SORT%20asc&rows=50&q=" target="_blank">1,600 restricted-use datasets</a>. A number of these data require use while onsite at ICPSR and where it feels like you are conducting analysis while on Michigan’s shoreline! ICPSR welcomes <a href="https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/deposit/" target="_blank">deposit and sharing</a> of restricted-use data; in fact, ICPSR just secured a relationship for remote access to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SizDiWB_608&t=68s" target="_blank">French and German confidential microdata</a>.
