<p>Margaret Levenstein has been appointed the director of the ICPSR. <a href="http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/ICPSR/support/announcements/2016/04/margaret-levenstein-named-director-of" target="_blank">The announcement </a> followed a national search by a joint committee composed of ISR faculty and members of the ICPSR Governing Council, who represent the consortium's 760 members worldwide. Levenstein will be the ICPSR's first female director. She will begin her five-year term on July 1.</p>

<p>With new leadership, new data infrastructure, a new website in development, and the continuous evolution of data sharing, this data fair will focus its session content on the thrill of change, and put you at ease in managing it! You are invited to join ICPSR from the comfort of your desk as we broadcast 3-4 webinars each day. More information, session abstracts, and session registrations will be available this summer. All webinars are free and open to the public.</p>
<h2 style="background-color:#d8e0ed;font-size:12pt;padding:10px"><a name="m_5824879184795550193_a04"></a>Providing Social Science Data Services: <br>Strategies for Design and Operation - in Ann Arbor in August! </h2>
<p>Part of <a href="http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/index.jsp" target="_blank">ICPSR's Summer Program </a> and running August 1-5, this <a href="http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/courses/0041" target="_blank">five-day workshop</a> is being offered to individuals who manage or support local services for ICPSR and other research data for quantitative analysis. Those who should attend include anyone who is new to providing social science data services, who is seeking to revitalize an existing service, or who is looking to refresh and expand on previous knowledge.</p>
<h2 style="background-color:#d8e0ed;font-size:12pt;padding:10px"><a name="m_5824879184795550193_a05"></a>Curating and Managing Research Data for Re-use - in Portugal!</h2>
<p>Also part of <a href="http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/index.jsp" target="_blank">ICPSR's Summer Program</a> and running July 25-29 in Lisbon, Portugal, this <a href="http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/courses/0149" target="_blank">five-day workshop</a> is for individuals interested or actively engaged in the curation and management of research data for sharing and reuse, particularly data librarians, data archivists, and data producers and stewards with responsibilities for data management.</p>

<p>The National Collegiate Athletic Association collects a wealth of data from its member institutions and their student-athletes.
