*Are You Ready to Meet New NIH Data Sharing Requirements?*
ICPSR has been guiding an increasing number of researchers through the new
National Institutes of Health (NIH) Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMS
Plan) requirements for all proposed research. “NIH is requiring a Data
Management and Sharing Plan for all proposed research where any scientific
data will be collected. This used to be required of certain NIH budgets and
now it’s required of everyone collecting scientific data,” said Amy Pienta,
a Research Professor at ICPSR. “Noncompliance could impact future funding
decisions. For this reason, ICPSR has created a resource page and a
customizable template for guiding investigators writing NIH grant
proposals,” Pienta added. [Full story
