Save the date for the 2023 Summer Program!

In 2023, the ICPSR Summer Program’s “stats nerd camp” will be offered in
two three-week sessions!


*First Session:* Monday, June 19-Friday, July 7, 2023
*Second Session:* Monday, July 17-Friday, August 4, 2023

*Why the change to 3-week sessions?*

Changing to a 3-week format shortens our calendar enough that we can now
fit into the University of Michigan’s housing schedule, which means more
affordable options for participants. We heard from many of our participants
last summer that finding affordable housing was difficult, and we made
housing a top priority for 2023.

Here’s what we can tell you so far about our three-week sessions:

*Courses*
Our 2023 three-week sessions will feature the same breadth of content—intro
to advanced courses in a range of techniques and methodologies—taught in
the same number of contact hours as previous years. We’ll announce our
course schedule in the coming weeks; until then, check out our 2022 schedule
<https://cvent.me/qvl3Xy> for an idea of past courses.

There will also be a *one-week intersession (July 10-14, 2023)* between the
two sessions that will feature additional short workshops and other events.
*Housing*
On-campus housing and meal plans will be available for
in-person participants.

*Format*
Three-week courses will be offered in-person (on the University of Michigan
campus in Ann Arbor) and online. All participants will have extended online
access to lecture recordings and course materials after each session has
ended.

*Scholarships*
We offer more than $150,000 in student scholarships

year! Scholarship applications for the 2023 Program will be accepted
December 5, 2022 through February 1, 2023.

*Short Workshops*
In 2023 we will also offer dozens of short workshops

for those needing to learn a specific technique in a shorter time frame.
