College and Beyond II:
Liberal Arts and Life Colloquium Series
We're continuing our series this fall with two more seminars focused on
“Measuring the Liberal Arts." The seminars will feature path-breaking
projects seeking to develop and refine measures of undergraduate education,
and especially its liberal arts components, and to determine its impact on
the present and future lives of students. Join us for the second seminar on
Friday, October 23.

The Next Generation Undergraduate Success Measurement Project, funded by
the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, is an exploratory project to develop and
implement a state-of-the-art measurement project to improve our
understanding of the value of undergraduate educational experiences, and
promote evidence-based models of undergraduate student success. The
research team will present the project framework and design, as well as
preliminary findings about students’ academic achievement, academic
engagement, mental health, and new challenges and responsibilities in times
of the COVID-19 pandemic.
