Enjoy Summer. Plan for Fall. The ICPSR Fall Data Fair Begins on October 1!

Save the date! More details for ICPSR's fully online, five-day Data Fair
will be announced soon. This Data Fair, the fifth of its kind, consists of
3-4 webinars per day focused on all things data. ICPSR staff, ICPSR ORs,
and data producers come together online to train and inform. Watch for email
<https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/content/about/lists/icpsr-announce.html>

A New Kind of Passport Coming: Improving Data Access and Confidentiality
Protection

A new report from a team led by ICPSR Director and U-M Professor Margaret
Levenstein, "The Researcher Passport: Improving Data Access and
Confidentiality Protection," details a new process to safeguard the
research community's access to and management of confidential data.
The Researcher
Credentialing for Restricted Data Access <http://bit.ly/2JuaruC> project,
funded by the the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, aims to increase the
willingness of data custodians to share data, and the ability of
researchers to undertake creative analyses, with the least possible risk to
privacy and confidentiality.

account. Have you *updated your IP range*? Your OR/DR contact information
<http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/membership/administration/institutions>
(click on your institution to see your contact names)? Reviewed your
utilization reports? All these cleaning tools can be found by visiting ICPSR's
Membership site
<http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/content/membership/index.html> (select
Official Rep Tools) and using your OR/DR credentials to log in.
