[ICPSR] Workshop on Youth Participatory Politics Survey Project (Stipends Available!): August 30 at APSA in San Francisco

The Youth Participatory Politics Survey Project

(YPPSP) has collected multiple waves of survey data from nationally
representative samples of young people in the United States. Survey questions
examine the quantity, quality, and equality of youth new media practices,
political and civic attitudes and behavior, and engagement in digitally
enabled participatory politics.


A data training workshop is being offered by YPPSP Investigators Cathy
Cohen and Joseph Kahne, along with other members of their team and ICPSR.
The training will take place on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 1:30-5:30PM
at the 2017 American Political Science Association (APSA) Annual Meeting in
San Francisco. All those attending the workshop will be given exclusive
access to the second wave of the dataset. Public access to this second wave
will not be available until January 2018. Registration for the workshop is

Graduate students and junior researchers are especially encouraged to
attend this workshop, and stipends of $500 are available to support their
participation in this workshop and the APSA Annual Meeting. This stipend
requires a separate application (in addition to workshop registration). For
