As the fresh falling snow continues to blanket the ground, and our  
cars, and the roads, and the parking lots, we pause from the snow  
shoveling to share a few frosty bits in our winter edition of DataBytes!


Wishing for the Summer (Program)

ICPSR's 2010 Summer Program in Quantitative Methods opened for  
registration on February 9. Register now for an exciting summer!

Studying Student Athletes

ICPSR recently launched the Student-Athlete Experiences Data Archive  
from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). This  
collection includes user-friendly data related to graduation rates,  
team-level Academic Progress Rates in Division I, and individual-level  
data on the experiences of current and former student-athletes.

Latino National Survey - Restrictions Included!

The Resource Center for Minority Data (RCMD) at ICPSR is pleased to  
announce the release of the Latino National Survey, 2006 restricted  
data files. The restricted release contains the actual FIPS codes used  
in the study.

Research Connections Made Easy(er)!

Research Connections offers a comprehensive, easily searchable  
collection of more than 16,000 resources from the many disciplines  
related to child care and early education, and now those resources are  
easier to find than ever!


"Add Health" to Your Winter Routine

Restricted-use data for all four waves of the National Longitudinal  
Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health) are now available! Contract  
application materials and forms are available at the DSDR Web site.

ICPSR's monthly webinar series continues! Winter topics are expected  
to feature NACDA (gerontological research) and the newly launched  
Resource Center for Minority Data (RCMD).  Sign up to our subscribed

Council News - New Council Members Elected!

The 2010-2012 Council is now official! Council will make its way to  
Ann Arbor for the first 2010 meeting on March 11 - jackets and gloves  
highly recommended!
