<a href="http://www.nesstar.com/software/publisher.html">Nesstar Publisher</a> to create DDI and describe a study that has more than one data file. So in theory you could create one ‘generic study’ for all years/events and reuse metadata from one study to another.
Nesstar has support for export/import of DDI XML, so you could take the time to document the data for one study and then export to reuse metadata applying it to another study, but ultimately yes this leads to duplication. And some work would have to be done
to ensure appropriate and careful reuse of metadata. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

data being described, this is supported currently by Nesstar / DDI-Codebook standard (use fields like Other Documentation, Related Publications, Related Studies, etc.); you would simply need to list these in the appropriate fields when describing datasets.

you to reference question schemes and value schemes, as well as concepts, which might be important for managing longitudinal data that reuses question instruments, indices, etc. or, are related but have changed slightly over the years for example. Another
