In this study the expectations of researchers who design surveys <span style='color:black'>are compared with the ones of</span> researchers who do secondary analyses of published datasets. <span style='color:black'>The results will be used to</span> improve current metadata standards for both disciplines and <span style='color:black'>we want </span>also to use the findings<span style='color:black'> later</span> as requirements for <span style='color:black'>the further development of</span> open source software products.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-GB><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-GB>Target groups of the survey are researchers in the field of social sciences and educational sciences, personnel at data collection or market research organizations, software developers of computer-based questionnaire or assessment software and researchers working at research data centres or data archives.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-GB style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-GB>This research is part of my PhD dissertation at the University of Szeged<span style='color:black'> where I currently reside for a research semester</span> and I would personally appreciate it<span style='color:black'> very</span> <span style='color:black'>much </span>if <span style='color:black'>people from the DDI community</span> take the<span style='color:black'>ir</span> time to participate in the survey. The average time for filling in the questionnaire is<span style='color:black'> about</span> 15-20 min. The number of questions you will be asked varies between 30-40 questions depending on your answers.
