<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi all,</div><div><br></div>Very shortly after the last release a few inconvenient bug were found regarding the additional of new languages to questions and statement. Fortunately, these have been fixed and a new version Canard v0.2.1 has been released here - <a href="http://bit.ly/canard_v021">http://bit.ly/canard_v021</a><div>
<div><br></div><div>The full release notes are included above, however the main features are improved convenience when dealing with multilingual issues and a one-click link to lodge bugs (feel free to use this very liberally). Later this week I'll record a tutorial video focusing on the new features and upload with the rest of Canard tutorial videos here - the <a href="http://bit.ly/CanardVideos">http://bit.ly/CanardVideos</a>.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Also, since the last release there have been a handful of people who I've been in contact with regarding custom DDI plugins which have worked to varying (but positive) degrees of success for import and export. Work should be continued on these DDI/SQBL XSLT transforms, along with other formats, to help quickly produce structured questionnaire specification and metadata-rich documentation.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Rather than continue to cruft up the DDI lists, I'll try and restrict announcements of (non-DDI focused) new releases to the SQBL Mailing List (<a href="http://bit.ly/SQBL_ml">http://bit.ly/SQBL_ml</a>) and the Canard GitHub (<a href="http://bit.ly/canard_releases">http://bit.ly/canard_releases</a>) page. But any releases with a strong DDI focus (such as plugin enhancements) will continue to be announced here. So feel free to sign-up there to keep up to date with new releases, discuss enhancements or discuss new plugins.</div>

<div><br></div><div>The biggest addition to this release is the ability to import and export DDI-Lifecycle 3.1 documents - this is in no small part to the expertise of Olof Olsson whose knowledge of XSLT were invaluable in producing DDI<->SQBL conversion.</div>
<div><br></div><div>This addition provides the ability to quickly and easily generate questionnaires in real-time with live questionnaire preview that can then be converted to and stored as DDI.</div><div><br></div><div>
This functionality can be seen in the tutorial videos online: <a href="http://bit.ly/14wO21u" target="_blank">http://bit.ly/14wO21u</a></div>
