Greetings and Salutations!
On behalf of the DDI4 Project Management Group, I would like to invite you
to join the effort in making the DDI4 prototype a success by contributing
your expertise in producing documentation for the release (mid-2018).
Specifically, we will be producing:
- A high-level overview document describing the model, how it functions,
and how it fits into the DDI Alliance work products. This will include the
definition and description of the views.
- Class-level descriptions in Drupal that include language about
examples.
- Individual document for each use case to include description and
method/rationale along with an example in xml:
Codebook
Simple questionnaire and flow
Non-question based data (various sources)
Data description (various formats)
Data processing/transformation (various processes)
Statistical classification
Geographic classification
Archived study/study description
- Mapping to DDI v2.5
- Mapping to DDI v3.2 (or v3.3?)
- Mapping to GSIM v1.1
- RDF-S/OWL Vocabulary
In short, we have a lot of work to do, so the more the merrier! If you are
interested in participating, we would appreciate a time commitment of
bi-weekly meetings over the course of two-to-three months (mid-Feb to
early-May) with the majority of the work completed from late February
through early April.
You are also invited to a three-day work meeting prior to the NADDI
Conference this year in Washington, D.C., April 2-4. There is a one day of
overlap with the NADDI workshops on April 4th, so if you are unavailable
that day, we would welcome you for two days instead of three. This meeting
would be focused on the review of the completed documentation and
organization.
If you would like to join us, please send an email to Kelly Chatain,
project manager for the DDI 4 Prototype Release, at kchatain at umich.edu.
Thank you!!!
