[DDI-users] Questionnaire software which can process DDI instruments?

Do I understand right that Canard has following functions?

-        DDI 3.1 questions/instruments can be imported

-        questions/instruments can be edited or added

-        exports for LimeSurvey and queXML can be generated

This sounds good.

Do you plan exports for other survey tools as well?

This is shameless self-promotion, but Canard can produce DDI3.1 and 3.2 pretty easily - http://bit.ly/canard-023

Olof and I did a DDI 3.2 exporter during IASSIST this year, and did the same for DDI 3.1 import/export last year.

It should handle the production of all of those structures except ScaleDomains and QuestionGrids.

However, adding those is as easy as modifying the XSLTs that it uses. These are picked up on run time and don't need much configuration, just a little understanding about XSLT and the internal XML data format - http://bit.ly/canard_plugins

There have also been some additional exports for LimeSurvey and queXML written, that I'll be debuting in a few weeks at the ACSPRI conference in Sydney along with a new version of Canard and SQBL  with support for new datatypes.

I’m aware of Colectica, but I don’t have an overview which other software is able to do this.

Some related elements are: Instrument, control constructs (like QuestionConstruct), QuestionItem, MultipleQuestionItem (3.1), QuestionGrid (3.2), CodeDomain, ScaleDomain (3.2).

I would be interested in any hint on DDI 3.1 or 3.2 software.
