[DDI-users] New DDI Trainer Selected

Dear DDI Community,

The DDI Alliance and GESIS are pleased to announce that Jon Johnson
<http://www.ioe.ac.uk/staff/clss_25.html> from the Institute of Education,
University of London, has been chosen for the new DDI trainer position
<http://www.ddialliance.org/node/922> and will participate in this year’s
training workshop <http://www.gesis.org/en/events/gesis-workshops/2014-ddi/>,
which will take place at Schloss Dagstuhl on October 13-17, 2014, with a
week of preparation the preceding week at GESIS in Mannheim.

Jon brings a wealth of experience in managing and documenting longitudinal
data along with an extensive network of partners that are candidates for
DDI training. He has a strong vision for DDI training and for encouraging
the use and adoption of DDI around the world.

The training opportunity generated a lot of interest, with ten very
qualified people applying. We hope to offer it again in the future and are
considering a broader "train the trainer" initiative that would involve
more people.
