[DDI-SRG] [CDI] Envelope

This is fine.

One question:
Should this be in a separate package like ‘Various’ od ‘General’ instead on the level below ‘Classes’? I had the similar question earlier regarding ModelIdentification below DataTypes.

Flavio:

With the caveat you give - that we document that this is an extension point - I think it is perfect.

This should cover the broader use you have in mind, and provide an extension point.

CDIContent: Information structured according to the DDI-CDI model for a specific purpose or purposes within a system or community.

supportingInformation: Information structured according to a non-DDI-CDI specification which is relevant to the understanding and/or processing of the CDIContent.

We need to say that the model for the CDI content in CDIContent will be provided by extension classes. The only thing we'll have for the release is the supportingInformation anchor for non-CDI content, as specified in the definition and class diagram above.

Does this work?

I am OK either way with this, as indeed we had decided that we would basically do the minimum.

We can discuss on Wednesday (or at our next regular meeting).

I thought we said the minimum, but I can do the CDiInstance + SupportingInformationReference, in which case I can use your proposed definitions.

Did you look at the definitions I suggested in the draft I put together from our discussions? The reference could be to non-DDI metadata, possibly, although what you present covers my immediate use case/requirements.

I am happy that the minimal requirement is covered, but was just thinking about the wording. Nothing major.

Hi folks,

This is the simplest envelop model I could think of

This class will be sitting under Classes, the same way ModelIdentification is sitting under DataTypes.

Envelope definition: Content wrapper for a collection of possibly heterogenous DDI instances

Content definition: DDI instance reference

Thoughts?
